Shooting bursts of birds in flight you never know what you will catch in the picture.
AVERY ISLAND BIRD SANCTUARY
We had a last gasp of cooler weather last week and I made two more trips into the swamps to bird rookeries. The first half of this series was shot at the Avery Island rookery. It is man made and has great views of the birds but I prefer the natural "jungle" rookery captured in the last half of this series. Though much more challenging and distant the birds are prettier in the lush green background IMO. This will be my last trip to the swamp until winter.
