Hummingbirds on our hill

Since putting up a couple of hummingbird feeders we have seen lots of hummingbirds that we never saw in the south. The swarm of Calliopes this morning interrupted my coffee but was quite a show for bird lovers.

You really have to get the perfect angle to see the purple band. I had dozens of shots of these beauties before I saw the purple.

The rest of these are Calliope Hummingbirds, the smallest birds in the United States
