MEMORIES AND MT. ELK

A bit of a personal project. I had to travel to Oklahoma to say goodbye to an old friend last week. This little mountain range is where I started a life long love affair with Mother Nature as a kid so my wife and I climbed my favorite mountain in the early light Sunday morning.

I was determined to get to the summit as early as possible but had to stop for this 1/4 mile up the trail. 
Another 1/4 mile and I had to unpack my gear again.
