Not sure if it is age or gender or what but the yellow around the eyes is gorgeous and only present on a few of the birds
EGRETS, TIRED OF BEING UPSTAGED AND OUTNUMBERED BY PELICANS ARE PUTTING ON PLUMAGE AND LOOKING GOOD.

They all seemed to be listening to an egret orator on the left.


I tracked this Egret on a slow 4 frames per second across the lake and noticed in post production that he flew into a pretty good focal plane with a Great Blue and a Cormorant
