I was watching the women's college softball world series when my wife happened to look out of the kitchen window "you've got to see this".
I had a 24mm lens on and that wasn't wide enough for this so I had to stich a couple together for this image
It took a little more than a minute to change to a 16mm lens and the rainbow was fading. Back to softball.
About thirty minutes later, between innings I came out to see Sadie admiring the skies.
My wife said "look back here".
I stepped out onto the driveway to get one more shot to the southwest
This was the scene. that my wife was seeing to the northwest
It turned more yellow
The red and yellow hues were competing for the last glow before it all turned grey and I was back to softball
