

They were all on the ground unable to fly so my wife opened a hole in deer fencing around a sapling. It made a nice place to hang out until they learn to fly.

The first one out of the nest endured a sleet storm from this stump for a night before any other chicks left the nest.


I've never seen a bird belly flop on a couple of branches before. His feet were tired from hopping/climbing up the tree.
