Turkeys are such funny birds,
They always make me smile!
Especially when they march along
All grouped in single file.
With heads alert, like periscopes
All alert and craning.
Though I have found that they don't drown
Peering up when it is raining
Though they look quite stunning when the males are displaying
It's all a big ego show-
"BACK OFF"!
Is what they're saying.
"For I am the greatest bird of all!
Bow down all toms and jakes!
Be impressed, for I am king!
You don't have what it takes!"
